Nisargadhama is a 64-acre island of bamboo groves, sandalwood and teak formed by the Kaveri near Kushalnagar, reached across a hanging bamboo bridge. It is an easy, shaded nature park popular with families.
Inside are a small deer park, a peacock and rabbit enclosure, a treehouse, elephant rides, boating and quiet river-edge paths, making it a relaxed half-day stop on the Kodagu plains.
