The Queen’s Bath is a large royal bathing pavilion that hides an ornate interior behind a plain, square exterior. Inside, arcaded corridors with projecting balconies surround a big sunken tank that was once filled with scented water fed by aqueducts.
The vaulted ceilings, stucco work and Indo-Islamic arches show the courtly, pleasure-garden side of Vijayanagara life; a moat once ran around the building.
